Buddy's Birthday
That's the Raven's Buddy, by the way.
Each of us presented the tune as tunefully as could be expected. Buddy listened carefully, one eye on the action, the other monitoring predators and sunset. Whimsical gifts were given, but she'll take on only one at a time to prevent trauma. Who wants to wake up to a swinging chimp effigy AND buttless donkey pinata the day after you've turned 12? Of course there were treats and snuggles, and while we've all adjusted to the Raven's terrible absence, we raised a glass to her as well.
